A wave of fear swept through Khulna’s Daulatpur area this morning after a brazen early-morning attack saw criminals unleash a barrage of gunfire on two residential properties.
Police are scrambling for leads after recovering 15 spent bullet casings from the scenes—a chilling testament to the scale of the violence.
The targets were distinct: one house belonged to Mohsin Litu, an employee of KUET, who luckily avoided the attack as he was praying at the mosque. The other belonged to an individual locally known as Kana Mehedi, allegedly involved in drug dealing, suggesting a potentially targeted incident.
CCTV footage captured the dramatic entrance of the attackers: a group of helmet-clad young men speeding in on four motorcycles. They stopped briefly, fired wildly at Litu’s home through the front gate, and then vanished just as quickly.
Police have confirmed the attacks but admit they are still in the dark regarding the identities and motives of the armed gang, underscoring the serious law and order situation in the area.
